    To help address this challenge, the Singapore AI Safety Fellowship 2026 is now accepting applications from talented researchers around the world.

    The fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity for emerging researchers to spend three months in Singapore working alongside internationally recognized experts in AI safety and governance.     About the Singapore AI Safety Fellowship

    The Singapore AI Safety Fellowship is an independent research fellowship designed to develop the next generation of AI safety researchers capable of contributing to international cooperation in AI safety research.

    The fellowship connects participants with leading mentors working on technical AI safety and AI governance while providing opportunities to conduct impactful research that can influence real-world AI policy and practice—not just academic publications.

    Located in one of the world’s leading innovation hubs, Singapore provides an ideal environment where research, policy, government, and international collaboration intersect.

    The fellowship is advised by Ryan Kidd, Co-Executive Director of the MATS Program.

     

    Fellowship Duration

    Successful applicants will participate in a full-time residential fellowship in Singapore.
