    Business Analyst Vacancy at SITA

    The Business Analyst will support the implementation of technology solutions by identifying project requirements and communicating them effectively to stakeholders and technical teams.

    • Contract: 36 months Fixed Term Contract (Internal & External)
    • Salary Range: R 478,420 – R 717,630
    • Reporting To: Lead Consultant
    • Division: Application Development and Maintenance
    • Department: IFASS: Transversal & Unique Systems (TUS)

    The role involves reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes, acting as a key liaison to ensure organizational needs are accurately captured and translated into efficient technology and process improvements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Consulting with stakeholders, system users, and system owners to identify, define, and document business needs, operational procedures, problems, input/output requirements, and system access levels.
    • Identifying opportunities for process improvement through information systems or operational changes; assisting in proposal development for new systems or enhancements.

    • Delivering services aligned with project plans, architectural standards, and governance mechanisms to ensure compliance and service excellence.
    • Creating business requirements analysis and design work packages for integrated software components per ICT standards and government enterprise architecture.

    • Modeling and developing Target Business Solution Specifications in accordance with ICT standards and enterprise architecture frameworks.

    • Managing client expectations to ensure IT solutions meet their needs and align with modeled Business Solution Specifications.
    • Participating in functional testing of software according to SITA testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3-year Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field / NQF level 6.
    • Experience: 3–5 years in Business Analysis including business process management, engineering/reengineering, modeling, and architecture.

    • Proven skills in requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, innovation, communication, documentation, and testing.

    Technical Competencies

    • Knowledge of Corporate and ICT Governance, Development & Implementation Methodologies, Testing, Packaging, and Release Processes.
    • Understanding of Business Operations, Business Process Management, and ICT standards legislation.

    • Familiarity with COTS and OSS products, Application Maintenance, and Support.
    • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, etc.) and compliance with IT security standards.
