Staff Solutions Architect, Growth - West @Temporal Technologies

Overview

The Staff Solutions Architect is Temporal's primary customer-facing technical leader within the Growth team, focused on the Western region of the United States. This role involves working directly with prospects and customers to guide them in understanding the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform, showcasing the technical advantages of the cloud service.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine the fit of their applications with Temporal’s platform.
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers at customer organizations.

Requirements

• Resident within the Western Time Zone - preferably San Francisco or Denver.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.
• Firm grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Ability to provide insightful advice on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
• Serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives.
