Overview
The Nedworc Foundation is seeking a Junior Professional Officer (JPO) in Programme Management, designed to provide early-career professionals with hands-on experience within the United Nations system.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate contributions to high-level UN briefings.
- Liaise with UN Headquarters teams, regional coordination teams, Resident Coordinator Offices, and key UN partners.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and projects.
- Monitor progress and identify challenges in programme delivery.
- Conduct research and analyse data from diverse sources.
- Draft briefing notes, background papers, reports, presentations, and meeting documentation.
- Provide support for conferences and consultative meetings.
- Perform other tasks as required in support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary-General.
Requirements
- Nationality from one of the eligible countries.
- 32 years or younger as of December 31 of the application year.
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Public Administration, International Relations, Business Management, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree combined with at least four years of relevant experience may be accepted in exceptional cases.
- Minimum of two years’ relevant professional experience in public administration, international relations, business management, or civil society organisations.
