Overview

TOCA Online is a virtual language and cultural exchange program offering study in Arabic, French, and Spanish. It connects high school and university students globally through virtual instruction and cultural exchange activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend virtual language instruction sessions.
• Participate in cultural exchange activities and workshops.
• Engage in dialogue and collaborative projects with international peers.
• Participate in Refugee Voices workshops featuring distinguished refugee speakers.
• For college-level program: Engage in one-on-one language exchanges, interactive online modules, cultural workshops, and collaborative virtual sessions.
• For college-level program: Submit short video introductions in Arabic (for US students) or present experiences collaborating with US students (for MENA students).

Requirements

• High School Virtual Language Program: Ages 13-18.
• College-Level Arabic Language Exchange Program: Currently available only to students from partnering HBCUs in the United States and university students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
• Students are expected to improve language proficiency and develop intercultural communication skills.
