Overview

Global Fund for Women is seeking qualified and experienced interpreters and translators to join its vendor database for ongoing and future language service needs, providing high-quality interpretation and translation services.

Key Responsibilities

Simultaneous and/or Consecutive Interpretation for virtual or in-person meetings, conferences, and events
Written translation, editing, and transcription of documents, reports, surveys, presentations, etc.
Localization and cultural adaptation of materials
Language consulting, including support for building multilingual resources

Requirements

Proven experience in professional translation and/or interpretation services
Native or near-native fluency in target language(s) and strong command of English
Familiarity with terminology related to social justice, grantmaking, feminist philanthropy
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments
Familiarity with technology and collaborative tools (e.g., Zoom, Outlook, Word)
For interpreters: expertise in facilitating live interpretation via Zoom
Effective invoice management and timely payment submissions

Benefits

Contracts will be awarded on a fixed-fee basis (per word or effort-based) with the potential for renewal based on performance, with the initial contract for one year and options for four additional years.
