This program offers doctoral researchers and recent PhD graduates the opportunity to gain industry and policy experience through placements in leading organizations across various sectors, including artificial intelligence, finance, justice, AI safety, and natural language processing.

Eligibility

Current doctoral students enrolled at a university in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland OR recent PhD graduates within six months of graduation.
Legal right to work in the UK or Ireland depending on internship location.
Research heavily involving mathematics, statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, ethics and technology, public policy or social sciences (for policy-related internships).
Ability to pause studies for the full duration of the internship unless flexible arrangements are available.
Support and approval from academic supervisor and university department.
