The University of South Africa (UNISA), in partnership with the ETDP-SETA, invites applications from unemployed South African graduates for its 24-month Internship Programme.

Contract Duration: 24-Month Internship
Start Date: 17 August 2026
Stipend: R127,576 per annum
The programme is designed to provide workplace experience to qualifying UNISA graduates who have completed qualifications at NQF Level 6 or higher and have not previously obtained formal work experience in their field.
The internship offers graduates an opportunity to develop practical skills while working within one of South Africa’s largest distance-learning institutions.
Preference will be given to persons with disabilities, in line with UNISA’s Employment Equity Plan and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed South African citizens.
- Be 35 years of age or younger.
- Have completed a UNISA qualification at NQF Level 6 or higher.
- Have no formal work experience in the field of application.
- Be a graduate in the specific field required for the advertised position.
- Not have previously been employed by UNISA or any other organisation.
- Clearly indicate the correct position reference and UNISA student number on the application portal.
