    Overview

    This bursary programme offers financial assistance of up to R50,000 to qualifying LLM students pursuing studies in constitutional, human rights, and justice-related law at South African public universities.

    Eligibility

    Applicants must:

    • Be Black South African or African students who have completed an LLB degree at a South African university.
    • Have an academic average of at least 65% and currently be registered for an LLM degree.
    • Be in either their first or second year of postgraduate study.
    • Demonstrate financial need.

    Preference will be given to graduates from historically disadvantaged and rural institutions, including:

    • University of Fort Hare
    • University of Venda
    • University of Limpopo
    • University of Zululand
    • University of the Western Cape
    • Walter Sisulu University

    Benefits

    Applicants will receive financial support to cover tuition fees, research expenses, and other academic costs associated with completing their LLM studies.
