The Urban Childcare Innovation Challenge 2026 is a transformative initiative designed to reshape the childcare ecosystem in urban India, led by UN Women India and supported by UNDP. This program aims to identify, support, and scale innovative childcare solutions that empower women and strengthen urban care systems.

Eligibility

• Be women-led or women-benefiting enterprises
• Operate within urban or peri-urban areas in India
• Demonstrate a proof of concept (pilot or early-stage validation)
• Address childcare needs of low-income or informal sector workers
• Show strong potential for scalability and replication
• Align with public or private systems integration opportunities
