The Urban Childcare Innovation Challenge 2026 is a transformative initiative designed to reshape the childcare ecosystem in urban India. Led by UN Women India with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in India and implemented by Primus Partners Pvt. Ltd., this program seeks to identify, support, and scale innovative childcare solutions that empower women and strengthen urban care systems.
Childcare remains one of the most critical barriers to women’s economic participation, particularly in low-income urban communities.
