Position: Program Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT), Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Program Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across LGCF’s programmes. The role involves overseeing project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with the organization’s mission.

You will also drive business development and fundraising efforts, build partnerships, and position LGCF as a key player in human rights, access to justice, gender equality, and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Programme Leadership & Management

• Lead programme design, planning, and implementation
• Translate strategy into actionable project plans
• Oversee full project lifecycle (planning to evaluation)
• Monitor performance, manage risks, and ensure impact delivery
• Coordinate multiple projects across thematic areas

Business Development & Resource Mobilization

• Identify funding opportunities and partnerships
• Develop grant proposals, concept notes, and EOIs
• Build and manage a pipeline of donors and partners
• Support organizational growth and sustainability

Donor & Grant Management

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements
• Prepare and submit high-quality reports
• Track project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
• Maintain proper documentation and accountability systems

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 8 years experience in programme management
• Strong experience with donor-funded projects
• Proven track record in grant writing and fundraising
• Experience in MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning)
• Background in human rights, gender, or justice sectors is an advantage
