Overview

The William T. Grant Foundation is accepting applications for the William T. Grant Scholars Program 2026, aimed at supporting early-career researchers focused on improving youth outcomes in the United States.

Eligibility

Must hold a doctoral degree awarded within the past seven years (or first residency for medical applicants).
Must be employed in career-ladder research positions (e.g., tenure-track faculty or equivalent).
Can be based inside or outside the United States if research focuses on U.S. youth outcomes.
Institutions may nominate one applicant per major division per year.

Benefits

Each selected Scholar receives $425,000 over five years and access to annual retreats and workshops. Scholars may also apply for additional awards to mentor junior researchers of color.
