    Role Overview

    The Employee Relations Investigation Specialist plays a critical role in managing sensitive workplace investigations. Reporting to the Senior Manager for People Investigations, the position ensures that all cases are handled professionally, ethically, and in line with organisational policies.

    The role involves:

    • Leading complex and high-risk employee relations investigations
    • Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as audit, safeguarding, and risk teams

    Key Responsibilities

    The role is structured across three main functional areas:

    Investigation Management (50%)

    • Lead investigations into sensitive issues such as harassment, grievances, and policy violations
    • Ensure timely, survivor-centred, and procedurally sound investigation processes
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
    • Maintain accurate and auditable case records
    • Safeguard confidentiality and protect sensitive information

    Minimum qualifications and experience include:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Behavioural Sciences, Organisational Psychology, or a related field
    • 4–5 years of experience in workplace or organisational investigations
    • Strong skills in research, evidence analysis, interviewing, and case documentation
    • Ability to produce clear, concise, and actionable reports
    • Experience advising managers and senior leaders on complex employee relations issues

    Preferred qualifications include:

    • Formal training in workplace investigations (e.g., trauma-informed interviewing)
    • Experience in global organisations or international NGOs
    • Familiarity with humanitarian or development sector contexts
    • Experience delivering training or capacity-building programmes
