The World Trade Organization has officially opened applications for its 2026 Young Trade Leaders Programme, an initiative designed to empower young people with a strong interest in international trade.

Eligibility

Young people aged 18 to 28
Students and early-career professionals
Individuals with a strong interest in international trade and global economic issues

Applicants are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of how trade impacts societies, economies, and the environment, as well as a commitment to promoting inclusive and sustainable trade practices.

Promoting awareness of international trade and WTO activities
Sharing knowledge and insights within their communities
Organising or supporting trade-related initiatives and discussions
Contributing innovative ideas on global trade challenges
