The Youth and Environment Europe (YEE) has officially opened the second round of applications for the second cohort of its Youth Scientific Advisory Board (YSAB) 2026. This exciting opportunity is designed for passionate young scientists, researchers, students, and early-career professionals who want to contribute to environmental protection, climate action, and youth-centered advocacy.
The YEE Youth Scientific Advisory Board provides a platform for young experts to actively shape environmental policies, scientific advocacy, and sustainability initiatives across Europe and beyond. Selected applicants will work closely on key portfolios including Agrifood Systems, Water & Marine Systems, and Climate Justice & COP31.
Climate change, environmental degradation, and sustainability challenges require strong collaboration between science and advocacy. YEE believes that young experts must be at the center of these conversations.
By joining the YSAB, participants will support evidence-based environmental advocacy while ensuring youth voices remain influential in policy discussions and climate solutions.

YEE is specifically recruiting young experts for the following focus areas:
Applicants interested in sustainable agriculture, food security, regenerative farming, and environmental food systems are encouraged to apply.
This portfolio focuses on marine conservation, water sustainability, biodiversity protection, and aquatic ecosystem management.
Participants in this portfolio will contribute to climate justice advocacy and youth engagement related to COP31 and global climate negotiations.
Selected members of the Youth Scientific Advisory Board will have the opportunity to:
Members will provide updated scientific knowledge and insights on environmental and climate-related topics to strengthen YEE initiatives.
Participants will help ensure YEE’s advocacy work is rooted in credible science while promoting youth-centered approaches.
YSAB members will assist in developing handbooks, articles, awareness campaigns, and educational materials for young people.
Participants will contribute to the development of independent, science-backed, and youth-focused policy papers and recommendations.
This role allows young experts to collaborate with international networks, advocacy groups, and sustainability stakeholders.
