Overview

The African Union is inviting applications for the 2026/2027 African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU YVC), a prestigious program designed to empower young Africans through professional volunteer service.

Eligibility

Citizens of an African Union Member State living on the continent or in the diaspora.
Aged between 18 and 35 years.
Hold at least a post-secondary qualification (ND, HND, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree).
Minimum of one year of volunteering experience and one year of professional work experience.
Available to commit to 12 months of service and willing to live and work in another African country.
Proficiency in at least one African Union working language.
