Overview
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is offering In-Country Scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Nigerian Federal Universities, focusing on courses related to the oil and gas industry.
Eligibility
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must be full-time students in their second year at a Nigerian Federal University.
- Admitted in the 2018/2019 academic year.
- Possess 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO (including English and Mathematics).
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5/5 or 3.0/4 (equivalent to 2.1) in the first year.
- Course of study must be related to the oil and gas industry.
Postgraduate (MSc) Applicants:
- Full-time admission into a Nigerian Federal University.
- Minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) in an oil and gas related field, or a 2.2 with at least 2 years of industry experience.
- Course of study must be related to the oil and gas industry.
- Possess at least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO (preceding the first degree, not more than 2 sittings).
- Possess NYSC certificate or exemption letter.
- Provide a personal statement and certificate of indigene-ship.
PhD Applicants:
- Full-time admission into a Nigerian Federal University.
- Minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) in an Oil and Gas related field, or a 2.2 with at least 2 years of industry experience.
- Minimum of merit in a second-degree certificate in an oil and gas related discipline.
- Possess at least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO (preceding the first degree, not more than 2 sittings).
- Possess NYSC certificate or exemption letter.
- Research area must be relevant to the oil and gas industry.
- Submit a research proposal (template available on the PTDF Scholarship Management Portal).
