University of Oslo (UiO) – Department of Social Anthropology is offering three fully-funded PhD research fellowships focused on the anthropology of health and environment across Africa and Europe.
These fellowships provide an exciting opportunity for ambitious researchers to join an international collaborative network and conduct fieldwork in multiple countries.
The PhD positions are part of the HEALENAE doctoral training network (Health and Environment in Africa and Europe), funded by the EU. The network includes 15 PhD candidates working as a cohort across interdisciplinary projects, promoting collaboration between institutions in Europe and Africa.
Key details:
Two of the positions are dual degrees with Makerere University in Uganda, and one may involve a joint degree with the University of Cape Town, South Africa. All positions require relocation to Norway, while dual-degree candidates will spend approximately six months at the secondary institution.
