Climate Mobility & Legal Innovation Programme Opens Applications for Global Legal Professionals Addressing Climate Displacement
Applications are now open for the Climate Mobility & Legal Innovation Programme (CLIP), a new international initiative designed to equip legal professionals with innovative tools and strategies to address the growing challenges at the intersection of climate change and human mobility.
Launched by Beyond Climate Collaborative and Earth Refuge, CLIP brings together legal practitioners, academics, advocates, and frontline professionals to develop practical legal solutions for communities affected by climate-related displacement.
The programme will take place online from 29 September 2026 to 22 October 2026, with applications closing on 13 August 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC.
Climate change is increasingly influencing global migration patterns, forcing millions of people to relocate due to rising sea levels, extreme weather events, environmental degradation, and changing living conditions.

The Climate Mobility & Legal Innovation Programme aims to address this gap by supporting legal professionals in developing stronger approaches to climate mobility justice.
The initiative recognizes the urgent need for legal innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing to protect vulnerable populations affected by climate change.
The programme is designed for professionals working across different areas of law and policy who are interested in creating solutions for climate-displaced communities.
