Deadline: Rolling Applications
Anthropic has opened applications for the Claude Community Ambassadors Program, a global initiative designed to support individuals who want to build and lead local communities around Claude. The program invites community builders, technical users, and AI enthusiasts to host events, share knowledge, and contribute to shaping the future of AI tools.
The initiative focuses on empowering individuals to create vibrant local ecosystems where builders, developers, and curious learners can come together to explore and experiment with Claude. By supporting grassroots community efforts, Anthropic aims to expand access to AI knowledge while fostering collaboration across regions.
The Claude Community Ambassadors Program is built around the idea that strong communities drive innovation. Ambassadors are expected to organise meetups, workshops, and hackathons in their cities, creating spaces where people can learn, build, and exchange ideas.
Participants are not required to be professional developers. While applicants should have meaningful experience using Claude tools such as Claude Code or Claude Cowork, the program places greater emphasis on community involvement and the ability to bring people together. This makes the opportunity accessible to a wide range of individuals, including educators, organisers, and tech enthusiasts.
Selected ambassadors gain access to a range of resources to support their community-building efforts. These include:
In addition, ambassadors receive early access to pre-release features and can participate in Builders Council sessions, where they share feedback directly with Anthropic’s product teams.
The program is open to applicants from anywhere in the world, reflecting Anthropic’s focus on geographic diversity. There is no requirement to be based in a specific location, and multiple ambassadors can operate within the same city. This flexibility allows communities to grow organically across regions and ensures that participation is not limited by geography.
Ambassadors are expected to take an active role in growing their local communities. This includes hosting events, running live demonstrations, and encouraging collaboration among participants. They are also responsible for sharing insights from their communities with Anthropic, helping shape future product development.
Participants will join a private Slack network where they can connect with other ambassadors globally, exchange ideas, and collaborate on initiatives.
While the program does not provide direct financial compensation, it offers substantial support in other forms. Ambassadors receive event sponsorship, API credits, networking opportunities, promotional support, and recognition within the global AI community. These benefits are designed to help participants build impactful communities and expand their professional networks.
Applications are open on a rolling basis, allowing interested individuals to apply at any time. Selected candidates will go through an onboarding process that includes signing an ambassador agreement, joining the private Slack workspace, and planning their first event.
There is no cost to join the program, and all resources are provided by Anthropic.
As AI continues to shape industries and societies, community-led initiatives play an important role in ensuring that knowledge and access are widely distributed. The Claude Community Ambassadors Program supports individuals who want to take the lead in making AI tools more accessible, collaborative, and locally relevant.
For those passionate about community building and emerging technologies, the program offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global network while creating impact at the local level.
