    Overview

    The SI Global Executive Programme (SIGEP) is a high-level leadership initiative designed for senior executives ready to integrate sustainability into core business strategy. Delivered by the Swedish Institute, the programme supports global business leaders in driving transformative change aligned with economic resilience, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability. It runs from May to November 2026, combining online learning with a one-week immersive onsite experience in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Eligibility

    Applicants must:

    • Be a citizen and resident of one of 24 eligible countries (including Brazil, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand, Türkiye, Ukraine, Vietnam).
    • Hold a senior leadership position (CEO or executive) with authority to drive strategic change.
    • Be at least 30 years old (born 1996 or earlier).
    • Have strong English proficiency.
    • Hold a completed bachelor’s degree or higher.
    • Identify a business challenge suitable for development during the programme.

    The applicant’s company must:

    • Be locally owned in an eligible country, OR a Swedish company operating in an eligible country, OR part of the supply chain of a Swedish company.
    • Operate in or commit to industries linked to the green transition.
    • Demonstrate commitment to sustainable business practices.

    Priority industries for 2026 include: Renewable energy, Responsible mining, Sustainable transportation, Digitalisation.

    Benefits

    The Swedish Institute covers:

    Participants or their companies must cover travel costs to and from Stockholm. Limited support may be available upon request.
