Overview
The TAGDev 2.0 Programme Scholarship is offered by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, aimed at empowering economically disadvantaged young people for the 2026/2027 academic year at the University of Eldoret.
Eligibility
- Kenyan nationals or East African citizens under the East Africa Higher Education Protocol
- Economically disadvantaged from marginalized communities or conflict areas
- Under 30 years for undergraduate and under 35 years for postgraduate programmes
- Recently completed secondary school or diploma
- Interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship
- Leadership qualities and commitment to community transformation
- Females are strongly encouraged to apply
Benefits
The scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees and academic costs
- Living costs including stipend and accommodation
- Laptop provision
- Research and conference expenses
- Internship and field attachments
- Community engagement initiatives
- Entrepreneurship training
Special support for refugees, displaced persons, and persons with disabilities includes travel documents and assistive devices.
How to Apply
- Submit your application to University of Eldoret via:
- Submit your TAGDev scholarship application through the RUFORUM Information Management System (RIMS):
- Access RIMS portal: https://rims2.ruforum.org/
- Register, activate your account, and log in
- Navigate to Calls → Scholarship Calls → Select Call ID: RU/2026UniEldoret/TAGDev 2.0
- Complete and attach your application form to your university admission application
