    Overview

    This CAPACITY Fellowship Programme offers mid-career professionals from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) a unique platform to strengthen climate expertise and negotiation capacity while contributing to global climate policy.

    Eligibility

    • Master’s degree in environmental science, economics, engineering, development studies, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in climate change-related work, with demonstrated involvement in adaptation planning or implementation.
    • Proficiency in English, knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
    • Currently employed in a governmental or national institution.
    • National of a Lusophone SIDS or LDC (Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, Timor-Leste).
    • Maximum age of 40 years at the application deadline.
