    Role Overview

    The Network Coordinator will be an integral part of Climate Catalyst’s European team, working closely with the Project Manager on the chemicals programme to establish and manage the “European Chemical Hub.”

    This initiative aims to facilitate dialogue, learning, and collaboration among civil society organizations focusing on chemical pollution’s toxicity, waste, and climate impacts.

    The role is initially for 12 months, with potential for extension based on funding.

    Key Responsibilities

    Relationship Building & Network Management

    • Build and maintain relationships with Hub participants across chemical toxicity, waste, and climate sectors
    • Serve as the primary contact for Hub members
    • Establish and manage communication channels for ongoing exchange

    Digital Infrastructure & Content Management

    • Maintain the Hub’s digital platforms, ensuring content is current, accessible, and relevant
    • Facilitate regular Hub meetings, including setting agendas and capturing action points

    Learning & Engagement

    • Plan and deliver learning sessions based on member needs
    • Source speakers, coordinate logistics, and document outputs
    • Produce newsletters to inform members about policy updates and activities

    Additional Activities

    • Support other activities within the European programmes portfolio as needed

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Proven experience in network building and management with strong coordination skills
    • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to implement strategy
    • Knowledge of decarbonization of heavy industries in Europe; familiarity with the chemical sector is a plus but not essential

    • Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex issues
    • Ability to build and sustain partnerships with civil society organizations
    • Adaptability to shifting priorities and working on diverse issues
    • Humble, proactive, and committed to values of courage, collaboration, diversity, and learning
