Overview

Climate Risk Horizons is seeking a Research Consultant for its Tech & IT Decarbonisation team, focusing on research into the environmental impacts of technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Compiling and analysing diverse research materials, including regulatory frameworks and policy documents, industry sustainability disclosures, and technical standards.
• Conducting secondary research using publicly available datasets.
• Reviewing national and international energy and water regulations.
• Maintaining organised and rigorous research documentation.
• Tracking developments in energy and water policy relevant to IT and technology sectors.
• Supporting the preparation of reports, blogs, and analytical publications.
• Communicating research findings clearly and concisely.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or related disciplines.
• Experience working with large volumes of qualitative data.
• Ability to conduct structured secondary research.
• Foundational quantitative analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ethical and rigorous research practices.
