Overview

Both ENDS is seeking a Communication Officer who can leverage powerful storytelling to drive systemic change for people and the planet.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the communication strategy and produce content for social media and news outlets.
• Collaborate with content specialists and manage day-to-day communication tasks.
• Coach colleagues on external communications.
• Manage communication strategy and budget, ensuring narrative consistency.
• Oversee the launch of a new visual identity and website.
• Build relationships with press and media for coverage, acting as the primary press contact.
• Coordinate the development of the annual report.

Requirements

• Proactive and hands-on mentality.
• Experience in global environmental justice communication.
• Ability to simplify complex information into engaging messages.
• Proven skills in communication strategy, social media, and press relations.
• Experience coaching colleagues in communications.
• Multicultural and international experience, ideally engaging with partners in the Global South.
• Basic graphic design skills are an advantage.
• Fluency in English and good command of Dutch, other languages are a plus.

Benefits

• Starting salary between €3,567 and €5,718 (based on a 38-hour week).
• 12-month contract for 32 hours per week.
• Strong secondary benefits including a pension, commuting reimbursement, and home working allowance.
