    Position Overview

    The Research Associate will work directly with the Senior Fellow for Women and Foreign Policy, providing both research and administrative support across a variety of projects.

    This is a hybrid position based in CFR’s Washington, DC office. Employees are currently expected to work onsite at least three days per week, with Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays designated as institutional office days. Beginning 14 September 2026, staff will be required to work onsite at least four days each week.

    Key Responsibilities

    The selected candidate will undertake a broad range of responsibilities, including:

    • Conduct research for articles, reports, book chapters, web features, and other publications
    • Perform literature reviews on assigned research topics
    • Track developments related to women’s issues and international economic affairs
    • Assist with proofreading and editing publications
    • Coordinate conferences, briefings, and policy events
    • Prepare invitations, background papers, and logistical arrangements for speakers
    • Manage correspondence, scheduling, and calendar activities for the Senior Fellow
    • Respond to media inquiries and information requests
    • Monitor project budgets and grant expenditures
    • Prepare reimbursement vouchers and assist with grant reporting
    • Support digital communications, including blogs, websites, videos, and social media platforms
    • Provide cross-departmental support when required

    Eligibility Requirements
