    Overview

    This scholarship offers young professionals from developing countries an opportunity to pursue advanced education in environmental policy and sustainable development through the MSc Environmental Governance (MEG) program at the University of Freiburg.

    Eligibility

    • Young professionals from countries listed by the Development Assistance Committee (DAC).
    • Must hold an academic degree not older than six years at the time of application.
    • At least two years of relevant professional work experience after completing a bachelor’s degree.
    • Above-average academic performance, generally within the upper third of their class.
    • Must not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to the application deadline.

    Benefits

    Recipients of the DAAD-EPOS Scholarship will receive:

    • Tuition fee exemptions (EU citizens pay no fees, non-EU students pay €1,500 per semester).
    • Financial support for living expenses, health insurance, travel costs, and other study-related expenses according to DAAD funding guidelines.
