Overview

The DAAD GROW Programme 2026/2027 offers fully funded scholarships for early career researchers and established academics from specific countries to engage in short research stays and cooperation visits in Germany.

Eligibility

Doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, university teachers, and established scientists from countries on the OECD DAC list.
Open primarily to individuals in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Special encouragement for women, socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals, and those from disadvantaged regions.
Not eligible if currently in Germany or conducting research at a German institution.

Benefits

Monthly scholarship payments: 1,400 euros for doctoral candidates and postdocs, 2,000 euros for assistant professors, and 2,150 euros for full professors.
Coverage for health, accident, and personal liability insurance.
Travel allowances.
Potential additional benefits for disabilities or chronic illnesses.
