    Overview

    The Data Center Engineer will oversee and maintain all aspects of the bank’s data centers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor data center status using appropriate tools and applications
    • Carry out routine maintenance to ensure full operational integrity
    • Ensure proper functioning of all data centers
    • Enforce compliance with data center policies across the bank
    • Recommend improvements for data center performance and health checks
    • Ensure security of all data center infrastructure
    • Generate monthly capacity reports
    • Manage power equipment including UPS, AVR, and inverter systems
    • Conduct periodic audits to maintain data center standards
    • Perform additional duties assigned by the team lead

    Requirements

    Knowledge and Skills
    • Strong understanding of banking operations
    • Hands-on experience with power equipment such as UPS, AVR, and inverters
    • Knowledge of cooling systems management
    • Good relationship and vendor management skills
    • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
    • Ability to make sound security decisions
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Quick problem solving and issue resolution skills
    Qualification and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Sciences or related field
    • Minimum of 4 to 8 years experience in IT operations
    • Relevant IT service management certification
    • Desirable ITIL or related professional certifications
    • Master’s degree in a relevant field
    • Experience in large scale or regulated financial institutions
