    Overview

    This position involves collecting data for large-scale quantitative and qualitative surveys under the SMC + VAS project in Bauchi and Niger States. It focuses on evaluating the integration of Vitamin A Supplementation with Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in training and conduct household-level interviews across assigned clusters.
    • Obtain informed consent and ensure confidentiality of data.
    • Administer questionnaires to eligible respondents, aiming for daily targets (approximately 20–25 households).
    • Upload collected data daily and report field challenges to supervisors.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in accordance with survey protocols and ethical standards.

    Requirements

    • National Diploma (ND), NCE, or equivalent in Social Sciences, Health, or a related field.
    • 5–7 years of experience in public health research and data collection.
    • Proficiency in mobile data collection tools; experience with LQAS surveys is a plus.
    • Fluency in Hausa or Fulani; familiarity with local communities in Bauchi and Niger State.
    • Must not be a government employee or engaged in SMC implementation activities.
    • Strong attention to detail and good reporting skills.

    Benefits
