The University of Helsinki is inviting applications for a fully funded four-year Doctoral Researcher position in the Anthropology of Humanitarianism, offering an opportunity for aspiring researchers to pursue a PhD while contributing to an international research project examining the future of humanitarian systems.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology or a related discipline, including:

Development Studies
Human Geography
Migration and Refugee Studies
Sociology
Political Science
Public Health
Peace and Conflict Studies

Candidates must also demonstrate strong academic performance, excellent research and writing skills, and the motivation to pursue doctoral studies at the University of Helsinki. The University encourages applications from individuals with refugee backgrounds and those from East Africa.

Benefits
