    Applications are now open for early-career professionals to participate in the First Order Draft (FOD) review of the Working Group I contribution to the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for emerging researchers and professionals to contribute to one of the most influential global scientific assessments on climate change.

    Eligibility

    The opportunity is open to early-career professionals worldwide, regardless of nationality or country of residence. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

    • Currently enrolled in higher education, including:
      • Advanced Master’s students
      • PhD candidates
      • Postdoctoral researchers
    • Early-career academics or professionals within 10 years of completing their most recent degree (PhD or equivalent)

    Exceptions to the 10-year limit may be considered in cases of:

    • Maternity or parental leave
    • Caregiving responsibilities
    • Health-related interruptions
    • Other significant career breaks (with explanation)
