Overview

The ERIA School of Government Fellowship 2026 invites experienced academics, government officials, and policy professionals to join a policy-focused program in Jakarta, supporting ASEAN and East Asia governance research.

Eligibility

Hold a doctoral degree or higher for academic applicants
Have at least 10 years of experience in government service for professionals
Demonstrate strong proficiency in written and spoken English
Be open to all nationalities with a research focus on ASEAN and East Asia issues
Possess relevant experience in government, academia, think tanks, or international organisations

Benefits

Fellows receive a monthly allowance of up to USD 5,000, depending on their residency duration. Financial support includes coverage for research and living expenses, while fellows must independently arrange accommodation, health insurance, and personal living costs.

Fellows will also gain access to ERIA’s research resources, networks, and engagement opportunities with policymakers across ASEAN.
