    Finance and Fundraising Intern at The Tomorrow Trust – Join a Dynamic NGO Team in Braamfontein

    The Tomorrow Trust is seeking a motivated Finance and Fundraising Intern to join their team at the Metalbox Braamfontein office.

    Job Title: Finance and Fundraising Intern
    Location: Metalbox Braamfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa
    Closing Date: 25 June 2026
    Contract: 12-month internship

    This 12-month internship provides an opportunity for recent graduates in finance, accounting, commerce, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in financial management and strategic fundraising within the NGO sector.

    The role involves supporting the organization’s holistic education programs through financial administration, donor research, proposal writing, and database management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Administration

    • Assist with daily financial tasks including data entry, expense tracking, and invoice processing.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.

    Fundraising Support

    • Research potential donors, corporate social investment opportunities, and trust/foundation grants.
    • Support in drafting fundraising proposals and impact reports.

    Database & Digital Tools Management

    • Update and maintain financial and donor records with high accuracy.
    • Utilize Microsoft Office and project management tools to track performance metrics.

    Candidate Requirements

    Education & Experience

    • Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Development Studies, Economics, or related fields.
    • No previous full-time employment, internship, or learnership experience required.

    Eligibility & Skills

    • Age between 18 and 34 years old; South African citizen.
    • Reside within 50 km of Braamfontein.
    • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
    • Willingness to undergo credit and criminal background checks.
    • Full-time availability; not enrolled in full-time studies.
