    Overview

    This PhD position offers a fully funded three-year scholarship to research the intersection of images, human rights, violence documentation, and visual literacy under the ERC-funded project, "Before the Image – The Political Ontology of Images for Legal and Social Justice" at the University of Copenhagen.

    Eligibility

    Applicants should have qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as:

    • Anthropology
    • Sociology
    • Psychology
    • Human Rights
    • Related fields

    Strong candidates will also demonstrate experience with ethnographic methods, an interest in visual culture, the ability to conduct ethically sensitive research, and excellent spoken and written English.
