Producing audiovisual content such as short videos, social media graphics, and factsheets
Conducting research on political, economic, and cooperation issues
Supporting coordination within communication teams and tracking action points
Contributing to internal documentation and policy-related outputs

A particular thematic focus will be placed on areas such as:

Mobility and migration
Youth engagement
Economic integration
G20 processes
Multilateral relations

Trainees may also support the Policy and Cooperation Section on specific assignments linked to EU-AU collaboration.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The programme targets highly motivated graduates with a strong academic background and a demonstrated interest in international affairs and African Union dynamics.

Currently residing in Ethiopia, due to local health and security considerations
Hold a Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Political Science
- International Relations
- Economics
- Law
- Other relevant social sciences
Have less than one year of professional experience after graduation
Demonstrate fluency in English
Possess strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
Show proficiency in creating and editing audiovisual and digital communication content
Be familiar with tools such as Canva or similar design platforms
Exhibit a proactive, reliable, and collaborative working style
Show genuine interest in African Union governance, politics, and economic development
