    • Producing audiovisual content such as short videos, social media graphics, and factsheets
    • Conducting research on political, economic, and cooperation issues
    • Supporting coordination within communication teams and tracking action points
    • Contributing to internal documentation and policy-related outputs

    A particular thematic focus will be placed on areas such as:

    • Mobility and migration
    • Youth engagement
    • Economic integration
    • G20 processes
    • Multilateral relations

    Trainees may also support the Policy and Cooperation Section on specific assignments linked to EU-AU collaboration.

    Candidate Profile and Requirements

    The programme targets highly motivated graduates with a strong academic background and a demonstrated interest in international affairs and African Union dynamics.

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Currently residing in Ethiopia, due to local health and security considerations
    • Hold a Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
      • Political Science
      • International Relations
      • Economics
      • Law
      • Other relevant social sciences
    • Have less than one year of professional experience after graduation
    • Demonstrate fluency in English
    • Possess strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
    • Show proficiency in creating and editing audiovisual and digital communication content
    • Be familiar with tools such as Canva or similar design platforms
    • Exhibit a proactive, reliable, and collaborative working style
    • Show genuine interest in African Union governance, politics, and economic development
