    Overview

    The Earth Journalism Network (EJN), a flagship initiative of Internews, offers a fully funded fellowship for journalists from low- and middle-income countries to report from the Eighth Global Environment Facility (GEF) Assembly in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

    Eligibility

    • Professional journalists representing established media outlets in low- or middle-income countries.
    • Prior experience in environmental reporting.
    • Strong command of English.
    • Able to attend the entire assembly from May 31 to June 6, 2026.
    • A letter of support from an editor or supervisor confirming publication of fellowship-related reporting.
    • Submission of previous journalistic work samples related to environmental topics.
    • Preference will be given to applicants aged 35 and under.
