    PUI is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting populations affected by crises, including conflict, natural disasters, and economic instability. The organization has been operating in Nigeria since 2016, delivering life-saving interventions across Northeast and Northwest regions.

    • Position: Head of Base (Base Manager)
    • Employment Type: Contract

    • Salary: ₦1,242,406 per month

    🎯 Role Overview

    The Head of Base will oversee the overall coordination, implementation, and management of PUI activities at the field level. This includes supervising operations, programs, and support services while ensuring compliance with organizational and donor standards.

    The role also serves as PUI’s key representative at the base level, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, local authorities, and humanitarian partners.

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    🏢 Operations & Financial Management

    • Oversee budgeting, accounting, and financial compliance
    • Manage cash flow, bank relations, and financial reporting
    • Ensure adherence to donor and internal financial procedures
    • Lead financial planning and risk assessments

    👥 Human Resources & Team Leadership

    • Supervise recruitment, onboarding, and staff performance
    • Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment
    • Ensure compliance with PUI policies, including PSEA standards
    • Lead coordination meetings and team development initiatives

    📦 Logistics & Administration

    • Oversee procurement, supply chain, and inventory systems
    • Manage assets, facilities, and operational resources
    • Ensure compliance with logistics and administrative procedures
    • Support partnerships with local organizations

    📊 Program & Project Management

    • Ensure effective planning and execution of projects
    • Monitor program performance and ensure quality delivery
    • Participate in project cycle management processes
    • Conduct field visits and support continuous improvement

    🤝 Representation & Coordination

    • Represent PUI at coordination meetings and stakeholder forums
    • Build relationships with government authorities and partners
    • Support donor visits and ensure proper reporting and visibility

    🛡️ Security & Safety Management

    • Implement security plans and risk assessments
    • Monitor field security conditions and ensure staff safety
    • Conduct safety trainings and enforce compliance protocols

    ✅ Requirements

    • B.Sc or M.Sc Degree in a relevant field
    • 4 – 10 years of experience, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings
    • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
    • Experience in project, financial, and team management
    • Ability to work in high-pressure and complex environments
