Overview

The Health and Nutrition Specialist will provide strategic and technical leadership for health and nutrition programming within the Nigeria Country Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of national health and nutrition strategies.
• Ensure projects align with approved strategies, plans, and international standards.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure quality implementation of activities.
• Conduct regular field visits and provide recommendations for programme improvement.
• Ensure timely production of high-quality reports and documentation for donors and stakeholders.
• Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders including government agencies and development partners.
• Provide line management and technical supervision to staff as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in health and nutrition programming.
• Strong knowledge of health and nutrition interventions.
• Experience in coordination mechanisms and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and fluency in English.
