Overview

The International Committee of the Red Cross is recruiting four Health Field Officer II positions to support its health programs in Nigeria. These full-time roles are based in Abuja, Biu in Adamawa, and Maiduguri in Borno, with some travel and possible relocation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of ICRC health programs through regular field visits.
Ensure timely access to quality health services and monitor the health situation.
Plan and implement health activities and participate in assessments.
Prepare project proposals and reports.
Conduct regular monitoring and supervision of ICRC-supported facilities.
Organize training for facility staff and community members.
Maintain contact with state and local authorities.
Support referral pathways for beneficiaries.
Respond to health emergencies, including outbreaks and malnutrition.
Ensure timely completion of drug inventories and orders.

Requirements

University Degree in Medicine, Nursing, or Midwifery.
Postgraduate Master’s or diploma in Public Health or Health Management is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Hausa.
Valid license to practice.
Strong computer skills.
At least three years of professional experience in related fields, particularly in emergencies.
Valid work permit for Nigeria.
