Overview
The International Committee of the Red Cross is recruiting four Health Field Officer II positions to support its health programs in Nigeria. These full-time roles are based in Abuja, Biu in Adamawa, and Maiduguri in Borno, with some travel and possible relocation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of ICRC health programs through regular field visits.
- Ensure timely access to quality health services and monitor the health situation.
- Plan and implement health activities and participate in assessments.
- Prepare project proposals and reports.
- Conduct regular monitoring and supervision of ICRC-supported facilities.
- Organize training for facility staff and community members.
- Maintain contact with state and local authorities.
- Support referral pathways for beneficiaries.
- Respond to health emergencies, including outbreaks and malnutrition.
- Ensure timely completion of drug inventories and orders.
Requirements
- University Degree in Medicine, Nursing, or Midwifery.
- Postgraduate Master’s or diploma in Public Health or Health Management is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Hausa.
- Valid license to practice.
- Strong computer skills.
- At least three years of professional experience in related fields, particularly in emergencies.
- Valid work permit for Nigeria.
