The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) seeks a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to support the COP 31 and COP 32 Presidency Youth Climate Champions.
The role involves developing and executing strategic communication plans to promote youth engagement in climate policy, creating multimedia content, managing social media strategies, and providing editorial support during key events.
The position offers an opportunity to contribute to global climate action by amplifying youth voices and stories, particularly focusing on rural youth and innovative climate solutions.
UNFCCC works in a politically challenging environment to address climate change through supporting the Convention, Kyoto Protocol, and Paris Agreement.
Recognizing the vital role of youth as agents of change, UNFCCC emphasizes inclusive participation of children and youth in climate decision-making processes, fostering capacity-building and meaningful engagement at international levels.
