Overview

The Interim Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships at Mercy Corps will lead donor engagement and strategic partnership support for individual, corporate, and foundation donors funding global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive donor communications and engagement strategies.
• Track and analyze engagement effectiveness.
• Manage global conference coordination and donor trip planning.
• Organize donor events and high-level meetings.
• Create communication materials such as briefs and presentations.
• Collaborate with the VP of Strategic Partnerships for donor relationship management.
• Prepare meeting briefs and presentation materials.
• Dedicate time to organizational learning activities and support accountability initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5-8 years’ experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment.
• Exceptional writing skills and project management abilities.
• Experience with major donors or boards preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

• Salary Level: $76,800 to $85,000 annually.
• Full Time, Exempt, Fixed interim term (Late April 2026 through November 2026).
