Overview

Médecins Sans Frontières is recruiting a Safeguarding Supervisor for its operations in Abuja FCT, which involves implementing safeguarding and abuse prevention strategies throughout projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising safeguarding officers and coordinating awareness and prevention activities.
• Strengthening safe reporting mechanisms and ensuring a secure environment for staff, patients, and communities.
• Conducting risk assessments and supporting complaint and referral systems.
• Delivering trainings and monitoring safeguarding activities across project locations.
• Collaborating closely with project teams, human resources, and coordination staff.
• Regular reporting and data analysis for continuous improvement of safeguarding systems and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Law, Psychology, Education, Social Communication, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in safeguarding, protection, or ethics within an international organization.
• Experience in humanitarian settings, supervision, and training facilitation.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, along with high ethical standards.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
