    Background

    Future Resilience and Development Foundation in partnership with its donor and the Borno State Ministry of Health and the State Primary Health Care Development Board is implementing life saving nutrition and health services targeting children aged 6 to 59 months suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition with medical complications. The intervention aims to reduce severe acute malnutrition and promote optimal Infant and Young Child Feeding practices.

    Job Overview

    The Stabilization Center Pharmacist will support the dispensing of medications, review prescriptions, and provide professional guidance to patients and caregivers on the appropriate use of medicines. The role also involves managing pharmaceutical supplies, maintaining accurate drug inventories, ensuring proper storage conditions, and preventing stock outs of essential medical commodities within the facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    The pharmacist will prepare and dispense medications according to physicians’ prescriptions, conduct drug consumption analysis based on average monthly consumption reports, and maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical products. The role also includes supervising the delivery and receipt of medical supplies, verifying drug quality and expiry dates, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical management procedures and safety regulations.

    Required Qualifications

    Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of professional experience as a pharmacist. Experience working in public health or health systems is considered an advantage.

    Key Competencies

    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer literacy, effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role.
