    Job Vacancy: HR and Admin Assistant

    Albarka Health Spring Foundation is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of HR and Admin Assistant. The position will support its operations in Sokoto State.

    Albarka Health Spring Foundation is a non governmental organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria. It was established on 20 October 2016. The organization works to improve the quality of life of vulnerable populations across communities in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria. It does this through programs in health, nutrition, food security, and community development.

    Position Summary

    The HR and Admin Assistant will support the management of the employee life cycle and provide administrative support for the Sokoto office. In addition, the role will involve working closely with the line manager to ensure compliance with organizational human resource policies and procedures. The Assistant will also support the smooth day to day operations of the office.

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will support general office administration including document filing, office equipment management, and supervision of office assistants and cleaners. Furthermore, the candidate will help with coordination of meetings and event planning. The role also involves maintaining office supplies and assets, supporting staff travel arrangements, and ensuring that office facilities remain functional and well maintained.

    In the area of human resources, the HR and Admin Assistant will assist in recruitment processes, maintain personnel records, track staff attendance and leave, monitor probation periods, support onboarding and induction processes for new staff, and assist with payroll documentation such as timesheets and pay slips. The role also supports compliance with safeguarding, code of conduct, and organizational policies.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Candidates should possess an HND or bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field. Applicants must have completed the National Youth Service Corps program and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
