    Supporting independent documentary filmmaking, acting as the first contact for filmmakers and storytellers, ensuring administrative processes run smoothly, and providing comprehensive support to grantees across the Climate and Democracy Story Units.

    Main Purpose of the Role

    The Grants Coordinator will assist in managing day-to-day operations of grantee programmes within the Climate and Democracy Story Units.

    The role involves administrative oversight, stakeholder communication, and supporting the delivery of impactful documentary projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Handle filmmaker and grantee inquiries via email and outreach
    • Manage administrative processes, including contracting and securing project deliverables
    • Collaborate with Fund Officers to track production, distribution, and evaluation updates
    • Oversee online application systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency during grant cycles

    • Prepare data for partner communications and annual reports
    • Coordinate grantee announcements and Fund communications with the Engagement Manager
    • Maintain up-to-date content on CSU & DSU webpages in collaboration with colleagues
    • Provide support to additional programmes within the Climate and Democracy Story Units as needed

    Terms and Conditions

    • Optional office work in London or New York (UK or US work authorization required)
    • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
    • Employer pension contribution after 3 months probation
    • Salary competitive and aligned with local market rates, dependent on experience and location

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communication and coordination skills
    • Excellent organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple deadlines
    • Proficiency with digital tools such as G-Suite, CRM (e.g., Beacon), CMS (e.g., Wagtail), and online databases (e.g., Airtable)

    • Proactive, reliable, and autonomous in task completion
    • Fluency in English; Portuguese or French is a plus
    • Positive, collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for mission-driven work
    • Prior experience and knowledge of the film or documentary industry
