Overview
The GitLab Foundation seeks a Director of Donor Experience & Stewardship to lead donor engagement initiatives and foster long-term relationships that drive philanthropic investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with major donors and implement strategies set by senior leadership.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive stewardship program for individual, corporate, and institutional donors.
- Build personalized donor profiles and annual engagement calendars.
- Create tailored reporting frameworks to meet diverse donor preferences.
- Translate complex impact data into compelling narratives for donors.
- Design and execute bespoke engagement experiences, such as events and dinners.
- Maintain detailed records of donor preferences and relationship history.
- Develop multi-year renewal strategies to maintain ongoing support.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in philanthropy, partnerships, or donor engagement.
- Proven success managing $1M+ gifts.
- Exceptional writing skills for impactful communications.
- Fluency in CRM systems and data-driven relationship management.
- High emotional intelligence and discretion in building rapport with stakeholders.
Benefits
- Salary Range: $125,000–$140,000
- Total Compensation: $160,000–$200,000 including health, dental, vision, and other benefits.
- Travel: Approximately 25%, domestically and internationally.
- Benefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401(k) with 10% employer contribution, unlimited paid time off.
