    Position Overview

    International Association for Suicide Prevention is seeking a dedicated Partnerships Coordinator to support the organization’s funding strategy by establishing and nurturing relationships with funders, identifying new funding opportunities, and advocating for IASP’s vital work.

    This role offers the opportunity to contribute remotely in a flexible, part-time capacity, working approximately three days a week.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operationalize and contribute to International Association for Suicide Prevention ’s funding strategy, including identifying potential donors and partners.
    • Lead and coordinate funding pursuits, drafting proposals and budgets in collaboration with internal teams.
    • Research the funding landscape, maintaining an updated database of potential funders, grant cycles, and relationship history.

    • Maintain and strengthen existing funding relationships and partnerships.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure funding deadlines and reports are met.
    • Promote innovative approaches and strategic thinking in funding activities.
    • Support additional duties related to organizational growth and funding efforts as needed.

    Candidate Profile

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Strong understanding of the mental health sector and NGO landscape.
    • Proven experience in identifying funding opportunities and managing funded projects.
    • Familiarity with the non-profit funding landscape, including corporate donors, foundations, and government grants.

    • Experience building long-term relationships with donors and partners.
    • Knowledge of mental health research, policies, and interventions is advantageous.
    • Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international development, social sciences, global health, marketing, or related fields.

    Skills and Attributes

    • Excellent technical skills: MS Office, databases, social media.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Ability to communicate across cultures and scientific topics effectively.

    • Highly organized, discreet, and ethical.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborative team player with a creative problem-solving approach.
    • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional development.

    Working Conditions

    • This is a remote position, requiring a suitable environment with internet access.
    • The role is equivalent to three days per week, offering flexibility for work-life balance.
